The British Mountain Bike Series is the country’s biggest biking event with 5 venues playing host to a number of races, demos and endurance tests. The event is family friendly where everyone gets to view some of the country’s best mountain bike riders. And in 2010 the organisers are introducing their first bike demos with several of the world’s biggest brands attending. Giant Mountain Bikes have joined forces with several other brands from the sport including Trek and Specialised to create a demo which will allow riders of all abilities to test out the latest models and practise some new skills on world class bikes.

And people from across the country will be able to attend one of the events as there are 5 venues in total. They include South Wales, Yorkshire, London, Plymouth and Nottinghamshire. Giant Mountain Bikes Managing Director, Ian Beasant promises that Giant and their fellow bike makers will make the event a special occasion for all riders by offering a combination of technical knowledge, tips and tricks for getting the most out of your bike and some of the best places to visit in the country for family-friendly trails.

The organisers of the British Mountain Bike Series hope that 2010 will be their best year yet with the addition of this demo and the various riding events that take place. Cross country challenges, under-12s races and endurance tasks all help to make this event one not-to-miss. The BMBS saw over 4000 riders attend the event in 2009 so they hope that with these new features 2010 will bring even more attendees to the different venues.

Not only are these events packed with all sorts of biking bonanzas but they also offer the chance for a great weekend away. There are castles, forests, adventure playgrounds, tree-top adventures and more near to the 5 venues. You might just do something you never knew existed in the UK.
